Family owned and operated for over 50 years, our boutique RV resort is set amid the lush natural beauty of Carmel Valley. We offer a welcoming atmosphere and a full range of amenities to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay on the Monterey Peninsula.
Each of our sites is equipped with full hookup utilities, including water, sewer, electricity (30 or 50 amp), and high-speed WiFi. Every site features a picnic table and charcoal grill, providing a comfortable setting for relaxation amid the tranquil sounds of nature.
Guests are invited to enjoy our recreation room, which offers a lounge area, billiards, and ping pong tables. For added convenience, our office includes a general store stocked with non-perishable groceries, cold beverages, and essential RV supplies. Well-maintained restrooms and hot showers are available for your comfort. Please note that the Carmel River is a protected natural area and is not accessible from the park; river access is available nearby at Garland Ranch Regional Park.

We offer a range of site types designed to accommodate your needs. Each site features a level, crushed granite surface and includes water, electricity, sewer, high-speed WiFi, and a private barbecue. All sites are pet-friendly. Please note that tent and car camping are not permitted.
Close to all major attractions, so you can go hit the links at Pebble Beach, watch the races at Laguna Seca, lay in the sun on beautiful Carmel Beach, or simply relax in our garden-like setting and enjoy.
Our grounds are professionally landscaped and maintained. And every site is separated by trees and flowers for maximum privacy.
The recreation room is furnished with ping pong and pool tables, comfortable couches for relaxing, a small library, a big screen TV and video collection, and a selection of board games all for your enjoyment.
Our sundry shop in the main office is here to provide you with common RV supplies, staple snacks, cold soft drinks, and camping food.
At Carmel by the River, we welcome your furry friends! Our property is pet friendly, with waste stations provided throughout the grounds for your convenience. We encourage responsible pet ownership so you and your pets can enjoy a relaxing stay together.
We are 6 miles to downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea, 6 miles to Carmel Valley Village (an exciting new wine tasting destination) and 7 miles to Monterey. You’ll find world class food and wine experiences plus all the wonderful activities the Peninsula has to offer (like shopping, golfing, hiking, exploring, and the beach) in close proximity during your stay.
Please feel free to use this peaceful terrace during your stay. It is located just outside our office and has BBQs, comfy patio furniture, and a fire pit, surrounded in serene, lush greenery.
Amazing, friendly, quiet, clean campground. Pet friendly. Awesome spotless bathrooms. Sweet grounds with flowers and so many places to sit and enjoy. A great place to relax!
My husband and I just stayed here 4 nights and it was so hard to leave! Susan and Jeff are such sweet hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Quiet,peaceful and yes, you can even hear the frogs in the river! We will definitely be back! Thank you for welcoming us and making us feel so at home!
This is a treasure of an RV park ! We stayed 6 nights in our silent auction won RV. It was the most relaxing, easy vacation we have experienced. Golfed 4 days with wonderful Jeff or Susan driving us to where we needed to go, including Carmel Valley Ranch (10 minutes away). And Jeff helped with silly stuff we didn't know about RV's. Next time we'll rent one of the onsite RV's, and we will definitely be back!
Friendly staff. Ease of making reservations and getting registered when we arrived. Very nice campgrounds and they put two of us together in the back patio site which was extra fantastic! Very nice place - quiet, pretty grounds, great pet area, etc. We would definitely recommend it and return!

Our property is a boutique RV resort featuring a total of 35 sites. The park is thoughtfully landscaped with abundant foliage, flowers, and mature trees, creating a tranquil, garden-like atmosphere for our guests.
Our property does not offer riverfront sites or direct access to the river, as it is a protected natural area. While guests can enjoy the tranquil sounds of the river and observe local wildlife, including frogs, access is restricted to preserve the environment. For river access, we recommend visiting Garland Ranch Regional Park, located 5.2 miles east of our property, which offers pet-friendly river access points. Additionally, Carmel Beach is a nearby dog-friendly destination.
All of our sites are designated as back-in. We offer a limited number of “pull-forward” sites for motorhomes; however, these are not true pull-throughs, as guests will need to reverse their vehicle when departing.
Yes, all of our sites feature full hookups, including water, sewer, and electrical service. We offer both 30-amp and 50-amp options to accommodate a variety of RVs.
Our property is bordered by private land, and there are no hiking trails directly accessible from the premises. The nearest hiking opportunities are available at Garland Ranch Regional Park (5.2 miles east, dog-friendly) and Point Lobos State Natural Reserve (8.6 miles southwest, not dog-friendly).
We do not provide fire pits at our sites. Guests are welcome to bring their own propane fire pits, and propane fire pits are also available for rent. Please note that wood-burning fires are strictly prohibited by Monterey County regulations and may result in fines of up to $150, or $100 if wood fire debris is found at your site upon departure. Charcoal and Duraflame logs may be used in your site’s grill; both are available for purchase at the Park Office.
Site assignments are finalized on the day of arrival. While we welcome requests for specific sites and make every effort to accommodate them, assignments are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed in advance.
We do not have a swimming pool on the property.
Yes, ride-sharing services such as Uber and Lyft, as well as local taxi and car rental agencies, are available in our area. Many guests find it convenient to drive their RV to nearby shopping centers and arrange for transportation services to meet them there, which can help minimize wait times.
We do not have on-site laundry facilities. However, we offer convenient laundry pickup and delivery services through our off-site partner. For self-service, the nearest laundromat is located approximately 3 miles away at the MidValley Shopping Center.
We do not offer a public dumping station. However, every site at our park is equipped with full hookups, including a private sewer connection for your convenience.
Your reservation confirmation will specify both your arrival and departure dates. Please review these dates carefully to ensure your travel plans align with your booking.
Refunds are typically processed within 3 to 5 business days.
We do not permit tent camping on our property. All accommodations are reserved for RVs and motorhomes only.
